Funland
There are some rides at Burns Park called Funland and we went on Saturday and Nathan rode the kiddie rides but also the big rides. So now we are thinking that we may try to take a trip to Six Flags this summer. It was a beautiful day and we all had a good time. Nathan was riding the kiddie rides(actually he is too tall for some)then Donald and I asked him if he wanted to ride the tilt a whirl and the scrambler and he said yes. He really liked the tilt a whirl and rode it twice. The scrambler is ever faster than the tilt a whirl but he liked it. So it made us happy that he liked the "big" rides. Not much else happened over the weekend. I cooked poppy seed chicken Saturday night and Memaw and Granddad came over and also Cousin John and his friend Barbara. I hope everyone has a great week.

The Arkansas Travelers baseball
We had a great weekend. We went to see the Travs play ball. Memaw and Granddad have season tickets and their seats are great. All we had to do were buy tickets and take our own chairs and we could sit by their seats. We went Friday night and Saturday night. Nathan had a good time and was very good. Where the seats are Nathan is able to stand up and walk around without disturbing anyone. We are planning on trying to go to a lot more games this summer.
We had Nathan's annual review at school. They said he has improved and progressed a lot and he is doing very good. He will continue with his speech, occupational and physical therapies next year with the same therapist. The plan is to put Nathan in the transition class as a 1st grader(very scary knowing he will be in the 1st grade)and he will go to a regular 1st grade class for one hour a day with a paraprofessional(aide). If he does very good they can increase the amount of time in a regular class. So I feel very good about next year and have no worries. I guess I can start worrying again this time next year when we are getting ready for the 2nd grade.

Happy Tax Day
Well I guess it can be happy for some people who are getting a refund. The weather has been absolutely gorgeous even though the pollen has been awful. Nathan had a field trip last Friday they walked to the fire department. I drove to the school and hid out in the parking lot to see them walking to the station and they all looked so cute. I had to really keep out of sight because I know Nathan and he was looking around and there is nothing wrong with his eyes so I am sure he would have spotted the car if he could have seen it. They are going on another field trip tomorrow and are going to a gymnastics place and jump around and have a good time. I think either this month or next month they are going to go to the zoo. We have a meeting about Nathan on Monday. I already talked to the speech therapist that is in his room and she said their plan with Nathan is that he will stay in the class for half the day and then go to a regular 1st grade class with a paraprofessional(aide) with him. His teacher told me that the other day she was using the number flash cards and they were counting to 30(which everyone that knows Nathan knows he loves numbers and he has counted to 150)she said that some of the kids did not know all the numbers and Nathan was calling them all out, so she told him he could go the the play area since he did so good. He went to the play area and she was going over the cards again with the other kids and she said he was just straining to see and when she would ask the kids what the number was she said she could hear Nathan calling out the number. I guess that is it for the update I hope everyone has a great weekend.

Happy Easter
Happy Easter to everyone. I hope everyone has a wonderful day. I just got back yesterday afternoon. My Mom and I left on Wednesday and drove to Oklahoma City because my Uncle had surgery on Thursday. We had my GPS so we went driving around Oklahoma City and found a good mall to go to on Friday and we had dinner at Spaghetti Warehouse and it was YUM. Like Mother said if we did not have the GPS we would have stayed in the hotel and at the hospital but we were adventuresome and got out. We also got to have dinner on Wednesday with Uncle Terry and Aunt Trish and really enjoyed the short visit with them. Wednesday before I left I went to an awards assembly at Nathan's school. He got another Citizenship ribbon and they had a little assembly so the kids could get their ribbons. I hope everyone has a wonderful Easter and great week.
