Happy Halloween and Happy Birthday Donald

Flying Witch Birthday Fireworks Happy Halloween to everyone and Happy Birthday to Donald. Today is Donald's birthday. We had a nice lunch. Donald's Aunt and Uncle and his Cousins came over for lunch and I made a birthday cake. John, Donald's cousin who teaches at UCA and lives in Conway was here. His birthday was on the 29th so the cake was for both of them.

We are planning on doing some trick or treating tonight, probably just our street and maybe go to Memaw and Granddad's house. Then we might go to one of the churches in town that are having a little festival. We did trunk or treating on Wed. night at church and Nathan did Ok. He was not too into getting the candy but he did go to a few cars and he would say trick or treat. He was Superman again for the third year in a row. He does not like to have his face painted or wear hats or masks so that limits what we can do for Halloween. So next year we will have to figure out something new for him to be. I hope everyone has a great Halloween.

The Pumpkin Patch

We went to the pumpkin patch on Saturday and had a great day. The weather was perfect and we had a lot of fun. There was a corn maze that we did not go through because it was very muddy. So we went on a hay ride to the pumpkin patch. Nathan did not want to get out of the trailer and pick a pumpkin so we stayed on the trailer and watched everyone else pick pumpkins. Nathan did like looking at the pumpkins which he kept calling jack-o-lanterns. We just had a very good day.

That night there was a small trunk or treat on the base. We went and Nathan did pretty good. They are doing trunk or treat at church on Wed. night so we will do that on Wed. night. Nathan is Superman for the third year in a row. The costume still fit and he makes such an adorable Superman so we decided to do it again. It is hard finding a costume for Nathan because he does not want to wear hats or does not like face painting or wearing masks so our options are limited.

I hope everyone has a great week.

The First Parent Teacher Conference

went very well. We had Nathan's first parent teacher conference on Tuesday. His teacher said he has made progress since he started school. She said he loves to go to the reading table. She said that he is doing good and making improvements. I was so glad and told her we were very very pleased with the class. He really likes his teacher and is always ready to go see Mrs. Ross.

For those of you that know what Guitar Hero is we have become addicted to it. We bought a Play Station 3 and went ahead and got Guitar Hero and it is a lot of fun. I took a few pictures of Donald playing Guitar Hero and Nathan watching. Nathan really likes to watch, so I guess he will be a future Guitar Hero.
Firehead

Rachel is in Alpha at Sherwood Elementary. Alpha is a class for the smart kids. They had an astronaut come from NASA and spoke to them and helped them make rockets. Yesterday they shot off their rockets. I took a few pictures of Rachel and her Rocket.

Hopefully we will be able to go to the pumpkin patch Saturday. If we go I will post some pictures. I hope everyone has a great weekend.

Another Fun Day

Saturday was a beautiful day so we went driving in Daddy's car(Nathan loves riding in Daddy's car, which is our Volvo). We went to Walmart to get a few things then we had lunch at Arby's(we eat at Arby's at least once a week, Nathan loves going to the Arby's here in Sherwood and they even know his name). Then we went out to the base and played at a little play ground and walked by one of the small lakes on base. So we had a fun filled day. Donald went to the UCA football game so I gave Nathan a bath and took some pictures of his hair doo when I was washing it.

Today is Rachel's 9th birthday. We are planning on having Ice Cream Cake at Mema's house tonight and let her open presents from family. She is having a skating party on Saturday. Donald and I moved into this house 9 years ago today. We moved in the day Rachel was born. It is hard to believe that we have lived in one house for that long. We are planning on living here for many many more years to come. It is also hard to believe that Nathan has been in school for 6 weeks. It has gone by fast. He is still doing good and really likes his teacher. Every morning he says he is ready to go see Mrs. Ross. I guess that updates everyone, I hope everyone has a great rest of the week and weekend.
